As of February 11, 2014, df-mp has been converted into a partnership with limited professional liability. This form of partnership was created by the amendment of July 19, 2013 to the German partnership act (PartGG) and is comparable to a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in the UK. Clients of df-mp will now benefit from a legally-based, very high level of insurance coverage.

As part of the conversion of df-mp into a limited liability partnership (PartG mbB) the name of the firm has changed. The new full name of our firm is:

"Clinical Innovation: Fair and Effective Incentives for New Uses of Established Drugs" (UCL / Georgetown Law, February 8 & 9, 2018 in Washington, D.C.)

In February 2018, Dr. Michael Eder was an invited speaker at the event "Clinical Innovation: Fair and Effective Incentives for New Uses of Established Drugs", co-organized by Sir Robin Jacob (University College London) und Prof. Jay Thomas (Georgetown Law). Dr. Eder gave a presentation on the EPO's take regarding the concept of plausibility in patent applications.
