Philipp Nordmeyer represents national and international clients before the European Patent Office (EPO), the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO), the German Federal Patent Court (FPC), the German Supreme Court (GSC) as well as the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Practice Areas:

Philipp Nordmeyer has been active in intellectual property since 2001. He joined df-mp in October 2010 and is a German patent attorney and a European patent attorney in the firm's practices in the electrical and mechanical arts.

Philipp Nordmeyer advises national and international clients in patent matters. A primary focus of his practice is on drafting patent and utility model applications and on prosecuting European, German and international patent applications and German utility model applications. A further focus of Philipp Nordmeyer's practice is on litigation, in particular on opposition proceedings and appeal proceedings, nullity proceedings, patent infringement proceedings, as well as the preparation of patent infringement and validity opinions.

Philipp Nordmeyer has technical expertise in the fields of applied physics with a focus on optics, semiconductor technology, electronic components, photonics, optoelectronics, lasers and acoustics, as well as in the technical fields of mechanics, medical devices, automotive technology, paper technology, electro acoustics and hygiene products.

Studies of Physics at the Technical University Berlin, the University of Goettingen, the Technical University Budapest (Hungary) and the University of Uppsala (Sweden). Diploma thesis founded by the Volkswagen Foundation: "Characterisation of polymers for micro-holographic data storage". Award of the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation (2001)

2001 – 2004
Patent attorney candidate at the patent law firms Maikowski & Ninnemann (Berlin) and Dummet Copp (England), at the District Court in Mannheim, at the German Trademark and Patent Office as well as at the German Federal Patent Court

Admission as German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, European Trademark Attorney and European Design Attorney
