Dr. Ju Min Kim has extensive experience in representing clients in complex patent disputes. Her practice focuses on Standard Essential Patent (SEP) litigation, particularly in the technical fields of telecommunications and audio and video coding. She has acted as lead patent attorney in numerous proceedings before the Federal Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court, various regional courts and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). In addition, Dr. Kim advises and represents clients in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office, in particular in the technical fields of telecommunications, electrical engineering, physics, software and mechanical engineering.
