Sebastian Müller is a European and German patent attorney and a member of our patent litigation team. His work includes the representation of internationally operating corporations as well as medium-sized companies and start-ups before the patent infringement courts in Germany and before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), the Federal Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court and the European Patent Office (EPO), including the Boards of Appeal there. He has been working in intellectual property law since 2015 and has been a partner at df-mp tech since 2025.

Sebastian Müller specializes in the evaluation of standard essential patents (SEP), in particular in mobile communications (3G, 4G, 5G), video coding and wireless transmission technologies (DVB-T2, IEEE 802.11ax, Bluetooth). These areas also characterize his advice in patent infringement proceedings. A further focus of his work is on sporting goods and information technology outside of standard-relevant applications. In addition to his work in patent infringement proceedings, Sebastian Müller also advises on other aspects of intellectual property law, such as patent application and patent grant proceedings, employee invention law and license agreements.
